By downloading, installing, or using the TeamSplit application or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TeamSplit. Please read them carefully.
You must be at least 18 years old to use TeamSplit. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
TeamSplit reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
TeamSplit facilitates payments and league administration and does not operate fantasy contests or determine winners. TeamSplit is a payment coordination tool — we help collect entry fees, track payment status, and coordinate payouts between league participants.
TeamSplit is not a fantasy sports operator, gambling platform, or financial institution. We do not set league rules, determine contest outcomes, or adjudicate disputes between league participants.
League outcomes and disputes remain the responsibility of league participants. TeamSplit's role is limited to payment facilitation and administrative tools as directed by league commissioners and participants.
When you use TeamSplit to manage a fantasy league or pool, you acknowledge that:
TeamSplit uses Stripe, Inc. to process all payments. By making or receiving payments through TeamSplit, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
TeamSplit charges a Payment Protection Fee on top of league buy-ins. This fee covers secure payment processing, platform operations, and payment coordination services. The Payment Protection Fee is always displayed clearly before any payment is made and is separate from the league buy-in amount.
League buy-in amounts are set by league commissioners. TeamSplit transmits 100% of buy-in amounts to the designated pool and does not deduct any portion of buy-ins for platform fees.
TeamSplit coordinates payouts as directed by league commissioners based on league outcomes determined by participants. Payout timing and accuracy depend on Stripe's processing times and the accuracy of information provided by league participants.
All payments made through TeamSplit are generally non-refundable once processed. Refund requests may be considered in the following limited circumstances:
To request a refund, contact us at team.split.app@gmail.com within 30 days of the transaction. All refund decisions are made at TeamSplit's sole discretion.
TeamSplit reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have:
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Any outstanding payment obligations at the time of termination remain enforceable.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TEAMSPLIT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TeamSplit does not guarantee that:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEAMSPLIT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL TEAMSPLIT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TEAMSPLIT IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
TeamSplit reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
